Residency Overview

By completing this residency, residents will learn how to provide holistic care to patients in a hospital setting. Residents will have exposure to a diverse patient population and a variety of patient cases, which helps them learn to better manage their time as they progress through the year. Residents have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from many general dentists and specialists, including oral surgeons, endodontists, and periodontists. Residents will act as a primary oral healthcare provider and gain experience in providing emergency & comprehensive oral healthcare, obtaining informed consent, functioning within interdisciplinary healthcare teams, providing patient-focused care, providing health education, and engaging in disease prevention activities.

Our residency program is flexible to align with the goals and interests of each individual resident. If residents have an interest in a particular area of dentistry, they can work with the program directors to align their experience with their professional goals.
