Shouldn't your fitness program fit you, not vice versa?

At Summa Health Wellness Center, we believe the fitness facility should fit you, not vice versa. That’s why we offer a wide range of options to fit your individual goals for fitness. Maybe it’s weight loss, or strength training, or rehabilitation. Maybe it’s just general conditioning or sustaining a happy and healthy life. Whatever your goals -- and whatever your level of fitness -- our fitness programs provide you safe, effective workouts in a warm, encouraging environment.

And it all comes with the support of our professional team. They’ll begin with a baseline fitness assessment and an understanding of your goals, then build you a customized fitness program for the results you want to achieve. Your individualized plan may include one of our many exercise classes or it may include personal training.

Assessment Process

Getting Started Meeting Your Fitness Goals

Prior to scheduling your fitness assessment, you will be asked to complete a health history questionnaire. Based upon your responses, a physician consent form may be necessary. Then, we’re ready to build your customized fitness program:

Step One

Setting a baseline with a measurable fitness assessment.

Our FREE comprehensive, three part assessment process is designed to help you get more out of your workout. One of our degreed Fitness Specialists will test the five components of physical fitness: aerobic capacity, energy expenditure, heart rate training zones, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility and range of motion. Your assessment also includes a full-body scan using the Evolt360 Body Composition scanner. We will use this data to create your customized program. 

Step Two

An individualized exercise program.

Upon completion of your assessment, our staff will deliver a complete exercise program specific to you and your needs. This program includes a resistance training program, cardio recommendations and guidelines, and a stretching program addressing flexibility and range of motion.

Step Three

Follow up.

Our staff will reach out to you periodically over the next several months to ensure you’re reaching your goals. And, each year you’ll receive a reassessment and new program.
