Research & Scholarly Activity

Opportunities for research and scholarly activity are available all throughout your residency! Residents are encouraged to participate in projects that are of interest to them alongside core faculty to eventually be presented with a poster or presentation at a multitude of conferences. 

Conferences that have been attended and presented at in the past by previous residents include but are not limited to:

    Recent Faculty Accomplishments

    Presentations & Honors

    • Dr. Mudrakola received his Fellow of ACEP distinction in November 2025
    • Dr. Mudrakola presented at the 2025 American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP) scientific assembly and gave a series of talks on evaluating important neurologic emergencies
    • Dr. Moftakhar selected as a recipient of the 4th annual Summa Health Dr. Bradley R. Martin Sepsis Care Excellence award
    • Dr. Mudrakola and Dr. Beeson named as Top Doctors in Emergency Medicine by Akron Life Magazine in August 2025
    • Dr. Morah and Dr. Pallaci presented at the 2025 Ohio ACEP. Dr. Morah participated in the program directors panel and Dr. Pallaci presented Pearls for Improving Documentation and Efficiency
