Summa Health PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Program

The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency conducted by Summa Health System-Akron Campus in Akron, Ohio is accredited by ASHP and offers pharmacists rigorous coaching and experience in the practice of providing individualized patient care in a teaching hospital practice setting and hospital-based ambulatory care clinics.  The resident will be accountable for promoting safe and cost-effective medication usage and achieving optimal medication therapy outcomes.  The resident will exercise skill in educating other healthcare professionals, students, patients and the surrounding community on symptom management and medication-related topics. They will possess proficiency in resolving medication-related problems and conducting practice-related research.  These individuals will demonstrate leadership by developing and following a personal philosophy of practice and exhibiting a commitment to patients, colleagues, community, the profession and the specialty.
