2022 Graduates

 Daniel Gonzalez, M.D., MPH

Graduated from the fellowship in 2022. He is practicing primary care sports medicine at Redwood Orthopaedics Surgical Associate in Santa Rosa, CA.

  Kyle Rockwell, D.O.

Graduated from the fellowship in 2022. He will be practicing Primary Care Sports Medicine at Health First in Melbourne, FL.

2021 Graduates

 Chad Cochran, D.O.

Graduated from the fellowship in 2021. He is practicing primary care sports medicine at Southwoods Health in Youngstown, OH. He will also be one of the team physicians for Youngstown State University.

  Rohini Tandon, M.D., MPH

Graduated from the fellowship in 2021. She will be practicing Sports Medicine at Summa Health Sports Medicine and Orthopedics and will be a part of the fellowship faculty.

Graduated from the fellowship in 2020. He is practicing Sports Medicine at Coastal Medical in Providence, RI.

 Zachary Vallandingham, D.O. 

Graduated from the fellowship in 2020. He is practicing Sports Medicine at Summa Health Sports Medicine and Orthopedics and is part of the fellowship faculty.

 Tommie Berry, Jr., M.D.
Graduated from the fellowship in 2019. Currently working at The Longstreet Clinic in Gainesville, GA practicing Electrodiagnostic medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine. 

 Joe Perkins, D.O. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2019. He's now working with Indiana University Health practicing Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine.

 

2018 Graduates

 Mark Diamond, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2018. He's part of the Avera Health Medical Group in Sioux Falls, SD.  He's practicing full-time in the Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.  

 Chad Giles, D.O. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2018. He's now working at the Marshfield Clinic in Stevens Point, WI as a nonoperative physician in their Orthopedic & Sports Medicine office and is the team physician for UWSP.

 

2017 Graduates

 Antonio Howard, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2017. He is now an Assistant Professor, for the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR.

 James Newman, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2017.  He is a Sports Medicine physician with Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Springfield Clinic in Springfield, IL.

 

2016 Graduates

 Sumit Bassi, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2016. He is the Medical Director and a sports medicine physician at the University of Maryland, Upper Chesapeake Health System.

 Stanley Hunter, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2016. He is currently practicing sports medicine at United Health Services Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Binghamton, NY. He is the Co-Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship and covers Binghamton University (D1), minor league hockey and baseball and a slew of local high school.

 

2015 Graduates

 Marcel Bahr, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2015. Dr. Marcel Bahr holds degrees in family medicine and sports medicine in the United States as well as Germany. He has been working in small-town private practice in Gieboldehausen, Germany, the place he was born and raised.

 Amy McClintock, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2015. She is board certified in family and sports medicine. She has joined the SSM Health Medical Group in Bridgeton, MO as a sports medicine physician and is affiliated with SSM Health DePaul Hospital-St. Louis.

 

2014 Graduates

 Jose Armendariz, M.D.

Graduated in 2014. Currently practicing Sports Medicine at Summa Health Sports Medicine and Orthopedics as part of the fellowship faculty. Specialized in non-operative fracture care, arthritis, tendinopathy, concussion management, and orthobiologics.

Sylvia Rozek Picture Sylvia Rozek, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2014. She’s currently at Mercy Orthopedic Associates in Durango Colorado practicing sports medicine. Team physician for Fort Lewis College, Durango HS, and Bayfield HS. Covering sports from mountain biking to winter sports such as skiing. Prior to that, she was at Mount Carmel Health Providers in Columbus Ohio as a sport medicine physician where she was the Team Physician for the Columbus Eagles Women's Soccer Team FC, LLC and Columbus Men's Rugby Club. 

2013 Graduates

 Gregory Cain, M.D. 
Graduated in 2013 and is currently working in Port Orchard, Washington with Kaiser Permanente, practicing Pediatrics and Sports Medicine.  Dr. Cain is also a Team Physician and Sports Medicine Director for North Mason High School – Belfair, WA.

 Omar Naji, M.D. 
Graduated from the fellowship in 2013.  He accepted a position with PeaceHealth Medical Group in Vancouver, WA where he will be practicing traditional family medicine, as well as sports medicine.  He will be aligning with local schools and mass events for event coverage, and will also be helping to expand a sports medicine and wellness program with PeaceHealth.

 

2012 Graduates

 Bob Crawford, M.D. 
Graduated in 2012 is currently working in Wadsworth, Ohio with Summa Physicians Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Team Physician for Kent State University and Wadsworth High School. 

 Ryan Wagner, M.D. 
Graduated in 2012 and is currently the Medical Director - Avita Center for Sports Health.

Dr. Wagner is doing 100% sports medicine.  He is the Head Team Physician for Plymouth High School and does some team coverage for Buckeye Central High School and Seneca East High School.  He is also performing ultrasound-guided injections, hydrodissections, PRP, prolotherapy, and Tenex Fasciotomy.
