How To Apply

Summa Health System’s ACGME accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship accepts the AMSSM’s Universal Application for Fellowship Training and only accepts applicants registered through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).

Fellows must be board-eligible in their primary specialty. Fellows in good standing will be eligible to sit for the sports medicine board exam upon completion of our fellowship program.

Applications are accepted starting July 1st through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The deadline for applications for our program is September 15. Interviews begin in early October through early November.

ERAS APPLICANTS: One of the required three letters of recommendation must be from your current Program Director. The other two must have been written within the last two years. All must be dated and on letterhead.

We will be interviewing in October, November, and December, so please obtain all application materials as soon as possible. Do not forget to register with the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). The applications should be sent directly to ERAS.
