Summa Health nurses have a longstanding tradition of delivering compassionate care to patients and their families. Since 1892, Summa nurses have been practicing hands-on, highly personalized care for the Akron community with the highest level of expertise. 

This year, nurses across the country are celebrated during National Nurses Week, May 6-12. Summa has created a unique opportunity for you to honor your favorite Summa nurse by making a gift in their name to the Summa Health Nursing Staff Development Fund.

The Nursing Staff Development Fund at Summa provides educational opportunities for our nurses in the form of attendance at conferences as well as the purchasing of educational training systems, programs and equipment — all of which is only available through private gifts from friends like you.

To support continuing education for our nurses during National Nurses Week and to honor your favorite nurse, please make a donation on the Summa Foundation website, select “Other” for the designation and leave a note for your nurse in the comments section. Your nurse will be notified that a gift was made in their name to enhance nursing education and training opportunities here at Summa.
